According to the Swedish Food Agency’s calculations, a third of all food that is produced never ends up being eaten. Food waste is a big threat to our climate and a big loss of our planet’s resources, but together with our clients, we want to fight these numbers. This contributes to maintaining one of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, namely to half all food waste by the year 2030. Until then, all packages on the EU market must be reusable, recyclable, or compostable, according to the European directive (94/62/EG) regarding packages and packaging waste. Another challenge that the directive Single-use-plastic handles, aims to reduce some disposable plastics’ effects on the environment and support the switch to a more circular economy.
